This page can be for any ideas related to other Web 2.0 tools:
- spice up presentations by using 2.0 tools
- teach Web literacy and etiquette through the use of tools
- collaboration
- alternate web based choice for compatibility issues with home vs. school computers and software
- LibraryThing.com can be used a tool to complete and view book related assignments as a class
Research Tools
- Easybib.com can be used to build bibliographies (and annotated bibliographies) and track research sources -- MLA format can be used for free or for $7.99/year, APA can be used; at the end, a Word Doc is compiled and downloaded for use. Ottobib and Bibomatic are two other free bibliography generators.
- CiteULike social site for keeping track of research articles -- "A free online service to organise your academic papers"; includes tagging. It's a great way to keep track of your own resources and also discover new ones for your own research. May be more useful for high school and college students.
- Connotea saves references online; can tag the references; can be shared with others
General education Web 2.0 tool lists
Most tools are web-based, includes links and descriptions (Note: I stumbled across these last year as the school year was starting up and thought I'd share them here, since they're great resources; the tools overlap somewhat, but not completely -- great resources can be found in the comments of some of these, too)
